Look what I just got. Wholly jackfruit!!!! I have been looking for canned jackfruit but it seems the only way I can get it is to order it. My husband happened to see a fresh one at the local grocery store and bought it for me. It's about 25 pounds. From what I have already learned, it's not ripe enough to open yet. And if you open them to early, you'll have a latex mess everywhere. Interesting!!!! You can eat the seeds too but you have to bake them first. I am very excited. As soon as I open, I will be sure and let you know. If anyone has any tips about cooking this fruit, I would greatly appreciate it.
